The Stella Musica Festival returns for a 9th season to promote the contribution of women in music. Under the artistic leadership of its founder, Katarzyna Musial, it combines not only various musical styles, but also a wide variety of art forms. The Grand Concert, the festival’s signature event, features exceptionally talented artists and an innovative program that this year will showcase a variety of cultural traditions, from Spain and jazz to viola da gamba and early music. Juno-award-winning singer-songwriter and blues/jazz queen Dawn Tyler Watson will appear as a special guest: she’ll enthrall the listeners with her warm voice, and as an emcee, she’ll be entertaining the audience throughout the evening. The remarkable duo Les voix humaines, comprising gambists Mélisande Corriveau and Susie Napper, two great artists with exceptional complicity, offer a program of Baroque works. To conclude the evening in style, the trio Fuego Flamenco will set the hall alight with a performance combining flamenco music and dance. Other classical surprises will delight the audience. Join us to celebrate the talent of extraordinary musicians who will make this concert a memorable evening of diversity and discovery!
