He continued his training with Dom Andre Laberge, and received several scholarships for studies in Paris with Pierre Hanta\u00ef and in Amsterdam with Bob van Asperen before obtaining a Master&#8217;s degree at the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al with R\u00e9jean Poirier.<\/p>\n<p>In 1997, he was awarded top prizes at the Montreal Bach Competition and the Bruges Festival, and in 1998 he received the Capriccio Stravagante Prize.<\/p>\n<p>Olivier Fortin is a frequent grant recipient of the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Qu\u00e9bec.
